There are advantages and disadvantages to EVERY type of deal. I will have to do some more research, but your lawyer may indeed be right. Most states and provinces do indeed require a FORECLOSURE instead of an eviction for an installment sale. It has been my experience that this is the law in almost every area.

If your lawyer is telling you this, simply ask him to point out the specific law that relates to this so you can verify this for a fact. I would be inclined to believe him. However, if he cannot produce this proof, I'd do a bit more digging.
