Same here. I used to spend megabucks on newspaper ads and got a few calls. Now I use hand-written signs and average around 15 calls per sign per week. I still like I put an ad in the Pennysaver, but I find that's hardly worth it anymore either.

One thing I like about making signs by hand is that you can add several colours at no extra charge. Just get yourself black, red, blue, green etc. markers.
