Gosh Guy. There are many books in this King's library that address the subject of leases, options and lease/options. I have collected them from the most obscure places over the years...even in the basements of old houses. Many are old and out of print. My favorite is called "Zeckendorf." Bill Zeckendorf was THE super wheeler dealer in 1940's New York City. Zeckendorf was flamboyant...bigger than life....Trumpesque. Bill Zeckendorf gets the credit for the United Nations choosing NYC for their headquarters. He "optioned" tons of small and virtually worthless pieces of stockyard property in the lower east side of Manhatten for like $2 million. A real estate concept called "assemblege." He "assembled" these properties into one big piece and sold the whole deal for like $8 million dollars. That was in the early 40's when a $6 million dollar profit in NYC was huge. As the story goes, he took a felt marker and circled the properties he controlled on a map of the lower east side. (Fyi: Zeckendorf's favorite contract was a yellow legal pad.) He sent the marked-up map to the mayor of NYC and supposedly said something like "Tell the UN they can buy this property for whatever price they are willing to pay." They offered $8 million. With a handwritten map, Zeckendorf had succeeded in moving the capital of the world. Very cool. Enough about Zeckendorf. Here are some other books on this King's shelves:
.) Everything (anything) By Jack Miller, this King's oldest mentor. The Option Primer. Options. Portfolio Strategies. You must attend Jack's Options Course to get the books. The are the very best and simply the most thought-provoking on this delightful and profitable subject.
.) Guide To Successful Investing, Buying, Financing and Leasing By George Mair
.) Real Estate Options By Dennis Collins and Jacquilin Boor
.) Dealing in Commerical Real Estate By Jack Corgan The King
