You are almost right. When you say "sell an option," it does not always mean that somebody just hands you money...although it DOES happen that way. Usually, the "options" about which you speak are part of the whole negotiation and the deal itself. E.g. in our Buy/Sell Agreement and Agreement For Selling, there are myriad options that are negotiated and made part of whatever deal we are putting in to place.
