I have not dealt with this issue, but see no reason why you could not. The best thing to do David is the call some local county sherriff's and/or constable's in Texas and ask. Here are some numbers for Harris County, Texas. This is the largest county in Texas and keep in mind that state regulations won't change from county to county since the state law will preempt or overrule any local rules. Call these numbers and ask for the Sheriff's department which "executes" the tax sales. District 1 (Cypresswood) 281-376-2997
