Hi, I'm new to Tax Deed sale, and I have a question. I'm doing some reseach on tax sales in Harris county, Tx on the internet. Here is something I copied from the web (www.publicans.com) ===============================================
Case Style: HOUSTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, ET AL vs THERESA SANKOWSKI, ET AL Legal Description: LT 58 YALE STREET ACRES SEC 1 Physical Address: 609 MARTIN ST 77018 Adjudged Value: $55,730.00
Did you notice that the Judgment Day is 24-Aug-1993, Order Issue Date is 02-Jun-2003? My question is what happened between 1993 and 2003? If the original owner never paid the tax since 1993, the house should be sold already (2 years redemption period for residential property in Texas) long ago. If the owner did pay the tax and kept the propty and this might be the second offense, should the judgment Date be more recent? |
