The county treasurer tells us two months after we purchased property that the original tax redemption lein we paid is wrong and that the certificate holder returned the check. We asked the county treasurer four times before we purchased this property for a complete list of all taxes including tax lein certificates. We did what was required of us Who is responsible for this error the tax certificate holder for not checking his certificate to see if it was accurate or the county treasurer for not putting the right amount in the system??? This information should have been accurate as the tax sale was 14 months ago. Help
