First, keep in mind that in almost every state the starting point is the Department of Revenue. Listings are available without purchasing a membership or any sort of subscription.

Second, you need detailed understanding of the laws of the state. I suggest spending time with a learning resource or reading the tax code yourself (if you can stand it!!). If you have specific questions about what you read then email me with your questions.
